Frequently asked questions
What size milling machine do I need?
Common cutting widths:
• Small (1-2 ft) — utility patching, manholes, edge work
• Medium (4 ft / W120 class) — parking lots, smaller streets, repair work
• Large (6.5-7 ft / W210 W220 class) — highway-class production milling
If you're not sure, tell us your typical job size and we'll match you to a class.
What brands of milling machine do you carry?
Wirtgen (W120, W210, W220, W250 series), Caterpillar (PM200, PM310, PM620, PM822), Roadtec (RX400, RX500, RX700), and Astec models.
What should I check before buying a used milling machine?
Drum condition (teeth, holders, drum housing), conveyor wear, undercarriage on tracked units, hydraulic leaks, hour meter authenticity, and service records. Drum replacement can be a major cost so verify drum condition with photos.
Do you deliver outside of Ohio?
Yes — anywhere in the US, Canada, or Mexico. Transportation is quoted alongside the unit price.
Do you take trade-ins?
Often, yes. If you have a paver, milling machine, MTV, or compaction unit to move, send us machine hours and photos and we'll put a number against the unit you're looking at.
Buyer’s guide
About used milling machine
Milling machines are a long-life investment — Wirtgen W-200 and Cat PM-622 platforms commonly hit 15,000+ hours with reasonable maintenance. The drum is the wear item: tool holder condition, cutter teeth (Kennametal/Betek), and drum housing are first to inspect. Conveyor belts, water spray systems, and the rear loading conveyor (on full-lane machines) round out the punch list. We stock half-lane (W-100/PM-202) through full-lane (W-2200/W-250) machines and can structure trades if you've got a smaller unit to move up.
